I have been so honored to be asked by both the Fort Myers Derby girls and the Bradentucky Bombers to hang out with them for this year's Roller Derby Season.. The sport combines so many things that I love in this world... all in a 2 hour fun filled package... Speed, grace, grit, beauty, photographically challenging, fun, raw, and about 100 other words I could use. I'm going to use the blog to post images and link them to the social medias (for no other reason in that facebook makes images look like dog poo.).. Thanks again to the athletes (notice I don't call them skaters...they don't skate... they fly) for the chance to show the world why they need to spend Sunday Nights at the rink....not watching tv.

My thinking was, How do I make an image in the dark, and then make it different. Then thought, well lets HDR that puppy, and then create a Tilt Shift Effect so they look like the pieces on top of a wedding cake. Why? ... I say... Why not?

Was lucky enough to be asked to photograph some Derby Bouts.. Amazing athletes these girls are, and I hope to shoot more this coming year.
